Utah State University Extension’s Rural Online Initiative (ROI) program received the Creative Excellence Award from the National Association of Community Development Extension Professionals (NACDEP) at their 2021 annual conference in May. The partnership between USU’s ROI program team, alongside Utah’s Department of Workforce Services, the Salt Lake Chamber, and the Economic Development Corporation of Utah, is successfully creating remote work opportunities, especially in rural Utah.
