The Economic Development Corporation of Utah (EDCUtah), Ogden City, and the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity are pleased to announce that Blue Diamond is bringing up to 92 new jobs and $30 million in capital expenditure to Ogden, Utah.

“We welcome Blue Diamond’s expansion to northern Utah,” said Ryan Starks, executive director of the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity. “This expansion will benefit the state's rapid growth and infrastructure needs in construction, transit, and expanding telecom access. Utah’s talented and technical workforce is certain to bolster Blue Diamond in these efforts.”

Blue Diamond Industries, a member of the Hexatronic Group of Sweden, is headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, with manufacturing facilities in Middlesboro, Kentucky; Aubrey, Texas; and Clinton, South Carolina. Blue Diamond Industries is a valued market leader in providing high-density polyethylene (HDPE) conduit solutions for the protection of fiber optic, data, and power cables. Blue Diamond's conduit solutions support a wide range of market applications from residential, power utility, cable TV, broadband, commercial and industrial, and transportation infrastructure investments.

“Blue Diamond is extremely excited to expand its manufacturing capabilities to Utah. The new facility in Ogden will allow Blue Diamond to expand and serve customers throughout the United States,” said Kevin Copher, Blue Diamond director of advanced manufacturing & technical engineering.

Blue Diamond's highly efficient manufacturing locations provide the production agility necessary to support the demands of the rapidly growing infrastructure expansion throughout the U.S. market. The new facility in Ogden is strategically located to expand Blue Diamond's reach in the western U.S.

“We are pleased that Blue Diamond Industries has selected Ogden for their western U.S. facility,” said Ogden Mayor Mike Caldwell. “Ogden has a robust manufacturing workforce that will benefit from the new jobs the project will bring to the community.”

“Blue Diamond found a home in Ogden after an exhaustive location search, and we’re confident that their decision will serve them well,” said Scott Cuthbertson, president and CEO of EDCUtah. “Northern Utah’s best-in-class workforce and manufacturing ecosystem offer a solid foundation for this growing company.”
